Let us share the blessings that we have received this Christmas with our brethren who now face a bleak Christmas, homeless, hungry and grieving for everything they have lost.  Please send your donations directly to CFC’s calamity fund:

Bank of the Philippine Island
Account Name: Couples for Christ
Account no.: 3103-3055-85
Account type: Savings

CFC has already sent initial relief funds to Iligan and Cagayan de Oro.  We are in constant communication with our leaders in the stricken areas, including Negros Oriental, to determine their actual needs.

Our Mindanao leaders have requested that their urgent need right now are monetary contributions that they can immediately use to purchase the badly needed relief items.  We concur with this request because this would free our brothers to work swiftly without having to worry about logistical problems such as paying for freight costs and trucking if we send goods.
After all, they are the leaders on the ground and they know best what they need and where to source the materials.  They have actually begun their own relief efforts, and have cancelled all scheduled Christmas parties, donating all the party funds instead to the flood victims.

For more effective monitoring and transparency, we would appreciate it if you could scan your remittance/deposit slips and email them to cfcmultimedia@gmail.com.

We also ask you to continue praying for our fellow Filipinos in the flood-stricken areas.  Let us storm heaven with our fervent prayers for comfort, strength, good health, and relief from want for all those who have suffered loss of family members, homes and belongings.  We who look forward to a Christmas filled with good food, great company, wonderful gifts and the beautiful blessing of being with loved ones are now asked to imagine what life must be like for our brothers and sisters in Mindanao who may now be losing hope in their future.  We are now being asked to translate our faith into action.

We are also uploading these updates in our CFC Facebook Account.  Just go to your FB account and in the search box, type in “Couples for Christ.”

Thank you very much and may God bless you always.
